Satish Viswanathan

Founder

Satish Viswanathan is a finance professional and a passionate teacher who has been coaching and mentoring underprivileged students since 2010. Satish is an ACA and CMA. Satish is currently based out of Dallas, Texas working in the IT Industry.

Satish was inspired by the innovation in telecom and technology in early 2000 and explored the possibility to reach students in the remotest places in India. This led to the co-founding of eVidyaloka Trust, a pioneer in remote rural education for government school children in India. Along with his co-founder, they established centers in Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamilnadu in 2011.

Satish founded his new initiative "Munnetram class with Satish" on August 15, 2020, to transform finance education for government school students pursuing commerce and finance stream. He has taught classes every morning and evening for the past 900 days (and counting!) and is looking forward to producing empowered finance professionals by 2040.

Our Story

"Munnetram" is a Tamil word which signifies progress and growth. This initiative was founded on August 15, 2020 on India's Independence day to support the growth of young minds pursuing their education in finance and commerce stream. 

Munnetram class was initially launched for government high school students in Tamilnadu, offering classes for their curriculum (Commerce, Accountancy and Economics) via online live classes conducted on Google Meet. The classes were delivered in both English and Tamil, to support the learning needs of students and have been showing stellar results in their board examinations.

The Munnetram initiative also expanded to offer guidance, coaching and mentoring for the CA Foundation exams (conducted by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India). Munnetram has been providing free coaching to  70+ students over the past 2 years.

  • 5 Students successfully passed their CA Foundation in first attempt in Dec 2021 & June 2022 examinations. 

  • 32 Students have appeared for CA Foundation exams conducted in Dec 2022.

  • 70+ Students have been enrolled for CA Foundation Nov 2023 examinations from Goverrnment schools in Tamilnadu and Karnataka.
